Refact.ai is moving from request-based limits to a flexible, coin-based system: $1 = 1,000 coins. Previously, even tiny messages counted as full requests. Now, with coins, you’re only charged for what the AI Agent actually does — simple tasks use fewer coins, complex ones use more.
You’re fully in control: choose the AI model you want, pay per action, and stop tasks anytime if the Agent goes off track to save coins.
And yes — autocompletion remains unlimited and free for everyone.

In simple terms, instead of relying on Refact.ai’s built-in models, you can “bring your own” from services like OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, or even a locally hosted model via tools like Ollama, LM Studio, or any custom endpoint.

Q: What happens if I pause a task?
A: Billing stops instantly. You can resume later from the exact same state or discard the run — unused coins remain in your wallet.
Q: Do coins ever expire?
A: No, they roll over month to month and even stay if you drop to the Free tier.
Q: Is there a bulk discount?
A: Not at the moment, but we’re considering discounts and annual subscriptions on our roadmap.
Q: Could costs spiral out of control?
A: No. Your wallet balance is the hard limit — an Agent run can never push your coins into the negative. When your balance hits zero, execution pauses automatically.
Q: Do BYOK requests use my coins?
No. BYOK calls are billed by your own model’s provider, so your Refact.ai coins are not spent.
Q: If I upgrade from Free to Pro, do I keep my leftover Free coins?
Yes. Every coin you still have moves with you when you upgrade.
Q: If I downgrade from Pro to Free, do my remaining coins stay?
Yes. Coins you’ve already bought or earned remain in your wallet when you switch plans.
Q: Will coins also apply to the Enterprise plan?
